Ministry of Care

Each week a number of parishioners bring the Eucharist to the homebound, who cannot by reason of illness, infirmity, or age, get to Mass. Prayers are said, Scriptures are read, the Eucharist is given, bringing healing, strength and a source of unity with Jesus and one's fellow parishioners. Those engaging in this ministry are trained, approved and commissioned by the parish.

In addition to bringing the Eucharist to the homebound, St. Mary’s has ministers that visit two local nursing homes to provide communion services.  For more information on these ministries, please contact Jane Kuklis at 781-545-3335 ext. 212

Members of the clergy also go out to area nursing homes and celebrate Mass, bring Eucharist and offer Anointing of the Sick.

Loving God, help us follow the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary in willingly giving ourselves in service to your church. Stir up the grace of priestly and religious vocations in the hearts of many within our community and send your Spirit to guide and strengthen them in answering your call. Amen.
